Michael Fordis et al.

Journal of the American Medical Association
September 7, 2005, Vol. 294, Issue #9, pg. 1043-1051.

Review by: Linda Heun, Ph.D. <lheun@aacom.org>

The authors compared the behavioral outcomes of two approaches to CME. Both approaches produces outcomes that were both positive and similar in terms of immediate change and 12-week-later change. They conclude that "appropriate-designed evidence-based online CME can produce objectively measured changes in behavior as well as sustained gains in knowledge that are comparable or superior to those realized from effective live activities.
