  • AACOM Government Relations Staff Participate in NCCAM Stakeholder Roundtable
On 4/26/11, AACOM government relations staff participated in a Stakeholder Roundtable hosted by the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM) of the National Institutes of Health. During the event, NCCAM Director Josephine P. Briggs, MD, unveiled a new online resource designed to give all health care providers easy access to evidence-based information on complementary and alternative medicine (CAM). The web-based resource includes links to relevant clinical practice guidelines, safety and effectiveness information, links to systematic reviews, summaries of research studies, printable patient fact sheets, and additional information. Dr. Briggs led an engaging roundtable discussion with stakeholder participants to identify additional opportunities for collaboration and encouraged attendees to provide feedback on the new resource.
