Georgia Campus – Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine
Undergraduate Studies: BS in Human Biology; BA in Plan II Honors, University of Texas at Austin
“During my undergraduate years, I built a foundation that combined human biology with the humanities. It was a backdrop that cultivated my future interests in alternative and versatile approaches to contemporary medicine. As a future physician, the osteopathic philosophy was more attractive because its holistic approach to medicine is both innovative and effective at improving patient health and happiness.
“I am a former city girl in a sea of bright lights, but in a medical school I wanted a smaller, more personal education. GA-PCOM has proven to be a close-knit community dedicated to fostering an academically challenging yet supportive learning environment. With the osteopathic philosophy in mind, I would like to use my education to pursue an integrative career in pediatrics. As rewarding as pediatrics is, it would be even more pleasing to automatically integrate holistic strategies into treatment plans in hopes of achieving long-term benefits for children and their families.”
