Christopher "CJ" Skok
National Research Representative
Hello! My name is C.J. Skok and I am an OMS-III from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine-Midwestern University. A native Hoosier from Valparaiso, Indiana, I attended Indiana University Bloomington and earned a Bachelor of Science in both Psychology and Neuroscience, minoring in German. My research background consists of a few disciplines: namely, I have engaged in market research in multiple sclerosis therapeutics, an undergraduate honors thesis studying binge drinking’s associations with cognition, emergency medicine research investigating blind airway intubation, and basic science research in beta cell function in prediabetic mice.
I have the distinct honor of serving this year as the National Research Representative. The Osteopathic profession has much untapped potential in expanding research, further validating the precepts set forth by Dr. Still. Research also offers students opportunities to hone their analytical thinking, improving their abilities as a future D.O. I look forward to promoting research in the Osteopathic profession, providing research opportunities for students, and serving all Osteopathic students in whatever way I can over this year.
