For those of you with questions about resolution 42, matching etc please go to this FAQ page. More information will be released as it becomes available. Thank you to the 700+ students who wrote in last minute in response to our facebook statuses and messages. Here is a wonderful presentation regarding GME by Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific student leader Izzy Pines with commentary by Michael Finley and David Connett. Attached you will also find her informational slides.

On behalf of the Council of Student Affairs and SOMA leadership, I would like to thank you for your thoughtful and professional responses to the four-question survey which was sent out by SOMA. We received 275 responses within 2 days. I read through these comments in their entirety and prepared an 8-page report to the AOA Strategic Planning Committee. In fact, some of your responses were quoted verbatim in the summary report. Please be assured that senior AOA leadership is aware of our concerns as future osteopathic physicians.
The Strategic Planning Committee and AOA senior leadership held a meeting last weekend where a verbal summary of the survey results was also provided. Many of the concerns surrounding graduate medical education, governance, research and public awareness were discussed in depth. Please watch for updates on these initiatives in the coming weeks.
Thank you again for taking the time to provide feedback!
