Joint AACOM & AODME 2013 Annual Conference Call for Presentations and Posters

The Call for Presentations and Proposals is closed for this year.

The 2013 AACOM Annual Meeting Planning Committee invites submission of Presentations and Posters for the 2013 Annual Meeting. The Annual Meeting will focus on Foundations for the Future, with sessions that explore some of the themes emerging from the AACOM-AOA Blue Ribbon Commission for the Advancement of Osteopathic Medical Education and emerging innovations throughout the continuum of medical education.

Among the issues to be explored:

  • The future of medical education;
  • Unique needs of the military;
  • Implementing patient-centered and interprofessional health care;
  • Innovative models for medical education and medical education support systems.

Peer-Reviewed Program Sessions will be of two types/lengths:

  • 60-minute Presentation/Workshop
  • 20-minute Brief Presentation

In addition, there will be a Peer-Reviewed Poster Session. Two poster awards will be presented at the Awards Banquet on Friday evening:

  • Peer reviewers will select the one best poster abstract.
  • Attendee feedback will identify a Viewers’ Choice award.

The posters will be presented initially at the Opening Reception on Wednesday evening and remain inside the Exhibit Hall through mid-day Friday, offering attendees the opportunity to submit their ballot for the 'best' poster.
