With 45 sessions to choose from, dozens of excellent poster presentations, and lots of networking opportunities, the 2010 AACOM Annual Meeting crackled with energy as attendees filled session rooms and meeting halls to learn, share ideas, and engage in productive dialogue. This year’s high level plenary speakers, including U.S. Surgeon General Regina Benjamin, MD, MBA; Political Analyst Norman J. Ornstein, PhD; and Duke University Chair and Professor of Community & Family Medicine J. Lloyd Michener, MD, all discussed landmark health care reform bill and the important role osteopathic medical education can play in ensuring that new physicians are prepared to help the nation meet its health care needs in this new environment.
