Osteopathic Medical College Recruitment Events 

Each year, several forums are held across the country for prospective students, health professions advisors, and the general public who are interested in learning more about osteopathic medicine, medical schools, and osteopathic medical education.

Topics discussed at these forums include admission requirements, application procedures, and the osteopathic medical school curriculum. Other activities may include a meet-and-greet, a student panel, osteopathic manipulative medicine demonstrations, or an opportunity to talk to college admission directors. Registration for these events is available, but generally is not required. All events posted are open to the public, with the exception of career fairs which are generally available only for enrolled students.

A.T. Still University's School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona (SOMA) will be opening their doors for interested prospective students. The Fair begins promptly at 10:30 am and will run a few hours. The day will include information about the program (curriculum & rotations), how to build a competitive application, meet & talk with current students and obtain a tour. ATSU-SOMA’s Student Government Association encourages pre-med students to attend ATSU-SOMA DO for a Day. Students should attend who are interested in learning about osteopathic medicine and our university. Students will attend class, small group activities, eat lunch with Student Ambassadors, and observe a lab.

Health P.A.S.S. will provide participants with well-rounded perspectives on what it’s like to be a medical school student in osteopathic medicine, podiatric medicine and surgery, physical therapy and physician assistant studies. In the program’s courses, clinical opportunities and practical exposure, students will gain the confidence that they can achieve a degree and career in any of Des Moines University’s four clinical areas - and the knowledge they need to get started. The deadline for the application and all related materials is March 1, 2014.
