The American Osteopathic Association’s (AOA) Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation (COCA) convened September 10-11, 2011, in Chicago. COCA Chair Kenneth J. Veit, DO, MBA, Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean, Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, presided over the meeting. The meeting agenda included progress reports, site visit requests and a discussion regarding Graduate Medical Education. AACOM President Stephen C. Shannon, DO, MPH, participated in the meeting, along with leaders from the AOA and colleges of osteopathic medicine.

In an effort to continue educating the colleges of osteopathic medicine about accreditation, COCA has asked AACOM to gather information from members of our community about what questions they have about COCA’s accreditation processes and policy. Please assist us by clicking here and e-mailing us your questions regarding COCA or osteopathic medical college accreditation.
