AOA Now Accepting Entries for Annual History Essay Competition

The American Osteopathic Association (AOA) Bureau of Osteopathic History and Identity is now accepting entries for its seventh annual history essay competition. Osteopathic medical students, interns and residents are invited to submit an essay focused on the bureau’s “Core Principles for Teaching the History of Osteopathic Medicine.” Entries should focus on one of five core principles the bureau has selected as the focus of the 2011 competition. Essays will be peer-reviewed by members of the bureau, and up to three winning essays will be selected. Winners will be rewarded with $5,000 for first place, $3,000 for second place, and $2,000 for third place, and will be recognized during the AOA’s 116thAnnual Osteopathic Medical Conference and Exposition in Orlando, Florida, October 30 – November 3.
