John Licciardone, DO, Associate Dean for Clinical Research and Executive Director of the Osteopathic Research Center at the University of North Texas Health Science Center, Fort Worth, is one of six new members appointed to the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine’s (NCCAM) National Advisory Council. The National Advisory Council for Complementary and Alternative Medicine is a group composed of scientists, complementary health practitioners and physicians that serves as the chief advisory board to NCCAM. Members of the Council serve a four-year term and meet three times each year to discuss and review research in complementary medicine. Dr. Licciardone is currently the only osteopathic physician serving on the Advisory Council.
