A.T. Still University – Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (ATSU-KCOM) held its 176th commencement ceremony on May 12 at the Truman State University Campus in Kirksville, MO. American Osteopathic Association (AOA) President Martin S. Levine, DO, delivered the commencement address.


A.T. Still University – School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona (ATSU-SOMA) celebrated the commencement of its second graduating class June 8 at the Comerica Theatre. Dr. Donald Weaver, Medical Director for the National Association of Community Health Centers, delivered the commencement address.

The Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine of Midwestern University (AZCOM/MWU) graduated its 2012 class on June 1 at the Midwestern University Glendale Campus Auditorium.

The Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine of Midwestern University (CCOM/ MWU) held its commencement ceremonies on May 25 on its campus in Downers Grove, IL. Class of 2012 valedictorian Cameron Ludt, DO, delivered the commencement address.
Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine (DMU-COM) conducted its 112th commencement ceremony May 26 at Hy-Vee Hall in the Iowa Events Center in downtown Des Moines. DMU President Angela Walker Franklin, PhD, conferred degrees on 200 students of osteopathic medicine. Former Surgeon General David Satcher, MD, PhD, delivered the commencement address.
Georgia Campus - Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (GA-PCOM) held its graduation ceremony on May 20 at the Gwinnett Center in Duluth, GA. Charles Stokes, President and CEO of the National Foundation for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Inc., delivered the commencement address.
Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences College of Osteopathic Medicine (KCUMB-COM) conducted its 126th commencement ceremony on May 21, with a graduating class of 256. KCUMB alumna Karen J. Nichols, DO, MA, Dean and Professor of Internal Medicine, Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University, and former president of the American Osteopathic Association, delivered the keynote address.
Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) held its commencement ceremonies on Sunday, June 3, at the Erie Bayfront Convention Center in Erie, PA. This year, LECOM’s graduated 248 doctors of osteopathic medicine.
Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine Bradenton Campus (LECOM-Bradenton) conducted its graduation ceremony June 10 at the Manatee Convention and Civic Center in Palmetto, FL. The school graduated 151 students to the osteopathic profession.
Lincoln Memorial University – DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (LMU-DCOM) celebrated the commencement of its second graduating class on May 12 in the Tex Turner Arena on its campus in Harrogate, TN. Norman Gevitz, PhD, Professor and Chair of the Department of Social Medicine at Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine (OU-HCOM), delivered the commencement address.
Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine (MSUCOM) held its commencement ceremony on May 3 at the Wharton Center on the MSU campus. Robert Ward, DO, MSUCOM Emeritus Professor, delivered the commencement address.
Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine (NSU-COM) held its commencement on May 27 at the BankAtlantic Center. Jonathan Cohen, Senior Editor at The New Republic, delivered the commencement address to graduating osteopathic medical students and other students from the NSU Health Professions Division. 
The New York College of Osteopathic Medicine of the New York Institute of Technology(NYCOM/NYIT) held its traditional hooding ceremony May 21 at the Tilles Center for Performing Arts in Greenvale, NY. Jordan J. Cohen, MD, Professor of Medicine and Public Health at George Washington University, delivered the commencement address.  The ceremony was followed by a brunch honoring the Class of 2012 at the Crest Hollow Country Club.
Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine (OSU-COM) held its 2012 graduation May 18 in Tulsa, OK. Class president Steve Harmon, DO, delivered the commencement address to his fellow graduates.

 Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine (OU-HCOM) held its 33rd commencement on June 2. The 115 graduates of the Class of 2012 are the first to receive diplomas with the college’s new name, changed in 2011 in honor of a $105 million gift from the Osteopathic Heritage Foundations.


Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) conducted its 121st commencement ceremony on June 3 at the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia, PA. AACOM President and CEO Stephen C. Shannon, DO, MPH, delivered the commencement address and received an honorary Doctor of Laws, Honoris Causa degree from the college.


Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences- College of Osteopathic Medicine (PNWU-COM) graduated its inaugural class of 69 students on May 12. Karen J. Nichols, DO, MA, MACOI, CS, professor of internal medicine, Dean of the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University, and former president of the AOA, delivered the keynote address.
Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine (RVUCOM) celebrated its inaugural graduation on May 19.  The ceremony was held at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House in Denver, CO.  During the ceremony, 126 students crossed the stage to receive their degrees.  Sister Anne Brooks, DO, Founder and CEO of the Tutwiler Clinic in Mississippi, delivered the commencement address.

Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine – New York (TouroCOM-NY) held its 2012 graduation ceremony on June 5 at the legendary Apollo Theater in Harlem, NY. A class of 135 students received their diplomas, followed by a performance from the cast of the Broadway musical Memphis. The Memphis cast then made a public donation of $5,000 to the Underrepresented Minorities Scholarship Fund, spurring impromptu donations totaling $17,500 from Touro President and CEO Dr. Alan Kadish, the Board of Trustees, and the TouroCOM-NY deans. Keynote speakers included former NAACP President Hazel Dukes and U.S. Representative Charles Rangel.


Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine – California (TUCOM-CA) held its graduation on June 3 at the Masonic Auditorium in San Francisco. This year, TUCOM-CA graduated 130 students from the College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Touro University Nevada College of Osteopathic Medicine (TUNCOM-NV) held its commencement ceremony on May 20 at the Las Vegas Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, NV.
The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – School of Osteopathic Medicine (UMDNJ-SOM) conducted its graduation ceremony on May 23. AOA President Martin S. Levine, DO, provided the commencement address.
The University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine (UNECOM) graduated 131 physicians, including seven dual DO/Master of Public Health and nine Master of Medical Education Leadership degree recipients, at its 2012 commencement ceremony on May 19. During the hooding ceremony, UNECOM awarded its Pioneer of Osteopathic Medicine Medal, the college’s highest honor, to UNE President Emeritus Sandra Featherman, PhD.
The University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine at Fort Worth (UNTHSC/TCOM) celebrated graduation on May 19. Institute of Medicine President Harvey V. Feinberg, MD, delivered the commencement address. 
University of Pikeville- Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine (UP-KYCOM) held its commencement ceremony for more than 60 graduates on May 19 in Pikeville, KY. The commencement address was delivered by Senator Rand Paul, a Kentucky native. At the ceremony, Senator Paul received an Honorary Doctorate of Community Service from the University of Pikeville.
The Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine – Virginia Campus (VCOM-VC) held its sixth commencement ceremony June 2 on the Virginia Tech campus in Blacksburg, VA. The ceremony was followed by a reception for the graduates and their families.
Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific (Western U/COMP) held its 31st commencement on May 18. H. Roger Hadley, MD, Dean of the Loma Linda University School of Medicine, delivered the commencement address.
The West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine (WVSOM) hosted its 35th commencement ceremony for 174 graduates on May 26 at the WVSOM campus in Lewisburg, WV. Kay Goodwin, Cabinet Secretary of the West Virginia Department of Education and the Arts, delivered the commencement address.
