In April, the AAMC (Association of American Medical Colleges), Khan Academy, and Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) announced a new collaborative effort to provide free web-based resources to aid potential medical school applicants in preparing for the revised Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) that will be administered starting in 2015. To gather material for the new resources, the three organizations are currently sponsoring a video competition for medical students and residents. Submissions should be formatted as educational tutorials on concepts included on new MCAT exam. Winning entries will be used in the creation of the first resources for the new collection, available in the fall of 2013 through Khan Academy’s online learning library, as well as the AAMC’s Pre-health Collection.
To submit a video, fill out the online MCAT Video Competition Submission Form. The deadline for submissions is June 14. More information about this competition can be found here.
