A.T. Still University–Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (ATSU-KCOM) held its 177th commencement ceremony on May 18 at the Truman State University Campus in Kirksville, MO. ATSU-KCOM alumnus J.D. Polk, DO, MS, MMM, delivered the commencement address.


A.T. Still University–School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona (ATSU-SOMA) celebrated the commencement of its second graduating class June 7 at the Orpheum Theatre in Phoenix, AZ. Thomas E. McWilliams, Associate Dean of Graduate Medical Education at ATSU-SOMA, served as the keynote speaker.


Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine of Midwestern University (AZCOM/MWU) celebrated the graduation of 249 DOs at a commencement ceremony held May 30 at the Midwestern University Glendale Campus. Michelle Shukhman, DO, 2013 valedictorian, delivered the commencement speech.


Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine of Midwestern University (CCOM/MWU) honored 186 osteopathic medical student graduates at a commencement ceremony on May 23 on its campus in Downers Grove, IL. MWU President and CEO Kathleen H. Goeppinger, PhD, gave the commencement address.


Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine (DMU-COM) conducted its 113th commencement ceremony May 25 at Hy-Vee Hall in the Iowa Events Center in downtown Des Moines, IA. DMU President Angela L. Walker Franklin, PhD, conferred 221 Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degrees. Former White House Physician to the President Eleanor Concepcion Mariano, MD, delivered the commencement remarks.

Georgia Campus - Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (GA-PCOM) held its graduation ceremony on May 19 at the Gwinnett Center in Duluth, GA. AACOM President and CEO Stephen C. Shannon, DO, MPH, delivered the commencement address. At the event, 81 Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degrees were conferred, along with 37 Master of Science in Biomedical Science degrees and six Master of Science in Organizational Development and Leadership degrees.


Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences College of Osteopathic Medicine (KCUMB-COM) conferred the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree on 218 graduates during its 127th graduation ceremony on May 18. KCUMB alumnus Leonard Calabrese, DO, Professor of Medicine and Vice Chair of the Department of Rheumatic and Immunologic Diseases at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University, delivered the keynote address.


Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) held its commencement ceremonies on Sunday, June 2, at the Erie Bayfront Convention Center in Erie, PA. This year, 338 Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine candidates received their degrees, including the 94 inaugural osteopathic medical graduates from LECOM’s Seton Hill University campus in Greensburg, PA.


Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine Bradenton Campus (LECOM-Bradenton) conducted its graduation ceremony June 9 at the Bradenton Area Convention Center in Palmetto, FL. The school graduated 152 students to the osteopathic medical profession.


Lincoln Memorial University – DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (LMU-DCOM) celebrated the commencement of its third graduating class on May 11 in Harrogate, TN. LMU-DCOM Founding Dean  and 2012-2013 American Osteopathic Association (AOA) President Ray E. Stowers, DO, delivered the commencement address.


Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine (MSUCOM) held its commencement ceremony for 285 osteopathic medical school graduates May 2 on the MSU campus. Norman E. Vinn, DO, MBA, Medical Director of the Housecall Doctors Medical Group and AOA president-elect, served as the keynote speaker.


Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine (NSU-COM) held its 2013 commencement ceremony May 19 at the BB&T Center in Sunrise, FL. Ursula Bauer, PhD, MPH, Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, delivered the commencement speech.


New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine (NYIT-COM) held its 52nd commencement ceremony May 19. NYIT President Edward Guiliano, PhD, conferred degrees and delivered the keynote speech.


Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine (OSU-COM) held its 2013 graduation May 17 at the Broken Arrow Performing Arts Center in Broken Arrow, OK.


Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine (OU-HCOM) held its 35th commencement on May 11. At the event, the 109 graduates of the class of 2013 heard a commencement speech delivered by William G. Anderson, Sr., DO, Vice President for Academic Affairs at the Detroit Medical Center and a former AOA president.


Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) graduated 266 students at its 123rd commencement ceremony on June 2 at the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia, PA. Norman E. Vinn, DO, MBA, Medical Director of the Housecall Doctors Medical Group and AOA president-elect, delivered the commencement address.


Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences- College of Osteopathic Medicine (PNWU-COM) held a commencement ceremony on May 11 for the 74 members of its second graduating class. Norman E. Vinn, DO, MBA, Medical Director of the Housecall Doctors Medical Group and AOA president-elect, served as the keynote speaker.


Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine (RVUCOM) honored the 145 members of its second graduating class of osteopathic medical students at a commencement ceremony on May 18. The event was held at the Temple Hoyne Buell Theatre in Denver, CO.  Barbara Ross-Lee, DO, Vice President for Health Sciences and Medical Affairs at NYIT, delivered the commencement speech.


Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine – New York (TouroCOM-NY) held its 2013 graduation ceremony on June 5. Norman E. Vinn, DO, MBA, Medical Director of the Housecall Doctors Medical Group and AOA president-elect, delivered the commencement address.


Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine – California (TUCOM-CA) held its 13th graduation on June 2 at the Masonic Auditorium in San Francisco, CA. This year, 137 Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree candidates received their diplomas.


Touro University Nevada College of Osteopathic Medicine (TUNCOM-NV) held its 2013 commencement ceremony on May 19 at the Las Vegas Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, NV.


University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – School of Osteopathic Medicine (UMDNJ-SOM) conducted its graduation ceremony on May 20. Rutgers President Robert L. Barchi served as the keynote speaker for the ceremony. At the event, 123 students were presented with their Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine degrees.


University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine (UNECOM) held its 2013 commencement ceremony on May 18. The ceremony was held outside on the Biddeford, ME, campus.


University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine at Fort Worth (UNTHSC/TCOM) held its 2013 graduation on May 18.


University of Pikeville- Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine (UP-KYCOM) held its commencement ceremony for its 76 graduates on May 18 in Pikeville, KY. The commencement address was delivered by United States Surgeon General Regina Benjamin, MD, MBA.


Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine – Virginia Campus (VCOM-VC) held its seventh commencement ceremony June 1 on the Virginia Tech campus in Blacksburg, VA. The event featured a commencement address delivered by Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell, and was followed by a reception for the graduates and their families.


Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific (Western U/COMP) held its 2013 commencement ceremony on May 17. At the ceremony, the school awarded 256 Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degrees. Jason Wang, MD, MBA, delivered the keynote address.


West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine (WVSOM) hosted its 36th commencement ceremony on May 23 at the WVSOM campus in Lewisburg, WV. Higher Education Policy Commission Chair David K. Hendrickson, Esq.; Higher Education Policy Commission Vice Chair Bruce L. Berry, MD; and Higher Education Policy Commission ChancellorPaul L. Hill, PhD, delivered the commencement address.
