Primary Care Organizations Consortium Convenes for Fall Meeting

The Primary Care Organizations Consortium (PCOC) met for its annual fall meeting on September 9 at the AACOM headquarters in Chevy Chase, MD. AACOM has hosted PCOC’s fall meetings for the past five years.

At the meeting, participants heard legislative updates from Pamela Murphy, MSW, AACOM Director of Government Relations, and Mark Del Monte, JD, Director of the Department of Public Affairs at the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). Other meeting agenda items included discussions on the current activities of both the Student Osteopathic Medical Association (SOMA) and the American Medical Student Association (AMSA), an update from the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), and several other important updates and discussions led by representatives from many of the PCOC member organizations. PCOC member organizations include:

PCOC’s next meeting will be held in spring 2014 at the AAMC offices in Washington, DC. A date for the meeting has not yet been announced.
