As of April 30, of the 4,964 expected 2014 U.S. osteopathic medical school graduates, 4,928 were actively seeking to be matched into a graduate medical education (GME) program. Of the 4,928 expected DO graduates seeking GME, 4,890 (99.23 percent) matched into a residency position. The majority of these students matched into GME programs through either the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) Intern/Resident Registration Program (the "Match") (2,357 students) or the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) (2,199 students).
