AACOM is excited to collaborate with National Pre-Student Osteopathic Medical Association (Pre-SOMA) to host the second annual National Osteopathic Night Out.
National Osteopathic Night Out is a casual forum for pre-meds to meet with current DO students and learn about osteopathic medical school from an osteopathic student perspective.
Save the Date
Current osteopathic medical students will host informal get-togethers in coffee shops (or similar places like Panera, undergrad campus coffee houses, etc.) on Wednesday, December 9, 2015, in the areas near their college campuses or rotation location.
What makes this event unique is that it allows for all interested pre-meds to interact with current osteopathic students in a relaxed environment, and have their questions answered by students who are passionate about osteopathic medical education (OME) and their future careers in medicine. It is a great way for pre-medical students to connect with mentors and build relationships with those at medical schools they are interested in applying to.
National Osteopathic Night Out is the only event of its kind in medical education.
Last year, more than 340 pre-medical students and 89 medical student volunteers participated across the nation. Volunteers for the 2015 event are eagerly anticipating even more participation this year.
