AACOM's new campaign will unite the voices of our advocates to shape ongoing public policy decisions that impact osteopathic medical students and schools.
On January 27, AACOM launched a national grassroots advocacy campaign, ED to MED, to give students, medical educators, and other advocates a voice in critical public policy decisions affecting medical students and osteopathic medical schools.
Congress is currently negotiating the reauthorization of the Higher Education Act (HEA), the law governing federal student financial aid programs. Many of these programs impact osteopathic medical and other graduate and professional student loans and repayment options.
With a united front, ED to MED will help protect federal financial aid programs for medical students, reduce the regulatory burdens on osteopathic medical schools, and promote the growth of our physician workforce.
This dynamic grassroots advocacy campaign will elevate the federal policy priorities of osteopathic medical education and promote the collective voices of medical students and other advocates across the country. To learn more, visit www.join.edtomed.com and connect with us on Twitter and Facebook.
