SIG Mission Statement:
To increase learning outcomes in CME programs and realign programming to support quality medical education by preceptors as well as continuing clinical education
Within the above mission, what specific objectives can best be accomplished by collaborative efforts:
- Create learning objectives to enhance the precepting skills of osteopathic physicians
- Share content materials and process strategies to enhance precepting skills of osteopathic physicians
Specific Goals to be Accomplished:
- Collaboration with other instititutions to lower costs associated with programming, i.e. faculty travel, share faculty, shared resources through OPTIs
- Improve “education” of CME, i.e. physician learning
- Interactive CME
- Explore the clas between the goals of funding and education
Initial action steps to be taken:
- Set up an email list
- Invitation to other COMs
