AACOM to Sponsor COM Day on Capitol Hill

As part of the 2009 Annual Meeting, AACOM will be coordinating meetings for each of the COMs with federal legislators and their staffs to discuss key issues in osteopathic medical education.  The event will take place on Wednesday, April 15, the first day of the Annual Meeting.

Each COM’s team, made up of four to five participants selected by the dean, will receive an early morning briefing on the issues prior to the team’s Capitol Hill meetings.  Early next year, AACOM will be working with the deans to determine the issues and select the COM teams, which may include students, faculty and administrators.
