The Council of Student Financial Aid Administrators (CSFAA) convened via conference call on March 10 to discuss a variety of issues. CSFAA Chair Otto Reyer (Director of Financial Aid, Western U-COMP), AACOM staff liaison Susan Eads Role (Director of Governmental Relations), and Council members reviewed a draft survey created to determine topics of interest among the group and to measure levels of interest regarding attending relevant conferences, such as the AACOM Annual Meeting, the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA) Conference and the Health Professions Financial Aid Administrators Professional Development Conference. The survey has since been finalized and sent to members. Attendees also discussed the call for proposals for the next Health Professions Financial Aid Administrators Professional Development Conference, and a volunteer was requested to serve on the advisory group for the conference.  

CSFAA members discussed the extent of their financial aid responsibilities as they apply to other health professions schools at their respective institutions; they also agreed to review the Financial Aid section of AACOM’s website and provide feedback. The next meeting will be held via conference call in May or June.
