The Hispanic Outlook in Higher Education magazine recently released its rankings of top colleges awarding degrees to Hispanics in 2008. As part of its rankings, Hispanic Outlook looked at the numbers of first professional degrees awarded to Hispanics in a variety of academic programs. Because the rankings are based on categories (and data) determined by the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS), the schools awarding the most MD degrees to Hispanics are separated from the schools awarding the most DO degrees to Hispanics. However, AACOM worked with Hispanic Outlook to compile a list of the top ten colleges awarding the most medical degrees (MD or DO) degrees to Hispanic students. Congratulations to the colleges of osteopathic medicine that appear on this top-ten list!
