On August 10 – 12, the Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) held a national meeting on the future of the primary care workforce in rural and urban America, The meeting, held in Washington, DC, featured an opening address by HRSA Administrator Mary K. Wakefield, PhD, RN, as well as plenary and panel presentations by other national health care experts. AACOM President Stephen C. Shannon participated in one of the plenary panels, and other AACOM senior staff joined him at the two-day summit.
