Gov. Paul Patton Named President of Pikeville College
In late August, former Kentucky Governor Paul E. Patton was named President of Pikeville College. Immediate past Interim President Boyd R. Buser, DO, has resumed his former position of Vice President and Dean of Pikeville College School of Osteopathic Medicine (PCSOM).
Marc Hahn Named Dean of UNECOM
Marc B. Hahn, DO, has been named Dean of the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine, effective September 11, 2009. In his most recent previous position, Dr. Hahn served as a joint Scholar-in-Residence for the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) and the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM). Prior to that, Dr. Hahn served as Senior Vice President for Health Affairs for the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth and Dean of the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. Don Peska Named Dean of UNTHSC/TCOM
Don N. Peska, DO, MEd, has been named Dean of the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth/College of Osteopathic Medicine (UNTHSC/TCOM), effective September 9, 2009. Prior to his appointment, Dr. Peska served as Professor of Surgery and Associate Dean for Educational Programs at UNTHSC/TCOM. He also is a member of AACOM’s Society of Osteopathic Medical Educators. Robert Goldberg Named Dean of TOUROCOM-NY
Robert B. Goldberg, DO, has been formally named Dean of Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine-New York (TOUROCOM-NY). Dr. Goldberg has served as Interim Dean of the school since July 2008. Congratulations, Dr. Goldberg!
Hershey Bell Named Dean of LECOM School of Pharmacy
Hershey Bell, MD, MS, Associate Dean for Faculty Development and Evaluation, has been appointed Dean of the LECOM School of Pharmacy. Dr. Bell will continue to fulfill his faculty development and other responsibilities at LECOM.
Robin Dyer Named OSU-COM Department Chair
Robin R. Dyer, DO, has been named Chair for the Department of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine at the Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
New Administrators at WVSOM
Gail Feinberg, DO, has assumed the position of Regional Assistant Dean of the Southwest Region for the Statewide Campus Program at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine (WVSOM).
Ralph Wood, DO, has assumed the position of Regional Assistant Dean of the Northern Region for the Statewide Campus Program at WVSOM.
Larry Ware, MBA, has accepted the position of WVSOM Vice President for Finance and Administration.
Jacqueline Dejean, MBA, CRA, has joined WVSOM as Associate Vice President for Grants and Research.
