OHPI Program Accepting Applications for 2011

AACOM’s 2011 Osteopathic Health Policy Intern (OHPI) program is currently accepting applications. All applications for the 2011 internship are due electronically on or before March 1, 2010.

The OHPI program enables up to two osteopathic medical students to spend two months in the AACOM  office, developing an understanding and operational knowledge of how federal health care policy is formulated and how to advocate for policy positions. Interns meet with federal agency policymakers, attend hearings on Capitol Hill, complete a health policy research paper, and develop a poster presentation based on this research for display at the next AACOM Annual Meeting. To the extent practical, every effort is made to identify the two-month period that best accommodates the students’ schedules.
