Osteopathic Application Pitfalls

November 22, 2016

A short Q&A with Tiffany Moss, Executive Director, Osteopathic Accreditation at ACGME after her recent Webinar on Pitfalls of the OR Application Process.

Q: If there is one thing you want listeners to take away from your recent Webinar, what is it?
A: Ask questions! I can be a resource as programs work through the application and have questions or concerns. I’m here to help programs interpret the requirements and FAQs.

Q: What is one of the most common “Pitfalls” applicants encounter in the Osteopathic Recognition Application review process?
A: A lack of assessment of Osteopathic Principles and Practice in the evaluation documents submitted as a part of the OR application. It’s important to make sure that evaluation forms contain all of the assessment components outlined in the OR requirements.

Q: Have there been recent changes to the application?
A: There were recent changes that were made to the required application attachment documents and upcoming changes that will eliminate two steps of the application. You can find more information on these important changes in the webinar.
