Update on Cornoavirus (COVID-19) and ACGME Site Visits, Educational Activities, and Other Meetings
The ACGME has adjusted, among other meetings and activities, the scheduling of accreditation, and recognition site visits in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. In a detailed table

Single Residency Match Results
The National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) announced results of the 2020 match, the largest in history and marks the first "single match". The single match comes only months before the near completion of the implementation of the single graduate medical education accreditation system, which officially concludes on June 30, 2020. The match rate for osteopathic medical seniors is 90.7 percent, an increase of 2.6 percentage points, with 6,581 graduating osteopathic medical students participating in the match and 5,698 matched into first-year training positions (PGY-1). Status of Applications to the ACGME
Table 1 provides a brief snapshot of the status of ACGME applications through the single accreditation system as of March 31, 2020. The data are pulled from the ACGME Accreditation Data System (ADS) public site. These data only capture applications of programs and institutions through the single accreditation system process and do not include programs that may have been previously ACGME accredited, such as dually-accredited programs.
