The 2016-2017 AACOMAS application cycle is now open for submission.

Enhancements to the Universal Advisor Portal*

As part of AACOMAS's multi-year platform implementation, advisors will be able to see the following data about applicants on screen beginning June 2016:

  • The college to which the applicant applied
  • Decisions made about applicants
  • Colleges the applicant attended
  • Applicant MCAT results
  • Applicant GPA information

By third quarter 2016, the Export Manager (from WebAdMIT) will be added into the Universal Advisor Portal. This will allow advisors to create their own Exports so that they may report on and analyze data from applicants at their institutions.

This data is conditional upon students agreeing to release their information and osteopathic colleges providing their updates on a regular basis.

* Enhancements to the Universal Advisor Portal are determined based on input from the advising community and the priorities of the AACOMAS Working Group. The AACOMAS Working Group will continue to request and implement enhancements to the AACOMAS platform and the Universal Advisor Portal through a multi-year, phased approach.

Enhancements to the AACOMAS Evaluator Portal

The following enhancments will be available in the Evaluator Portal beginning May 4:

  • Committee Letters - Applicants may indicate that one of their letters is a committee evaluation upon creating the request.
  • Credentials for Evaluators - Evaluators will be asked to include a few credentials (e.g. DO or DO/PhD) to help colleges that have guidelines about where letters originate.
  • Show Waiver Status to Evaluators - Evaluators will be able to see when applicants have waived their right to view a letter.

Access Our Advisor Portals

Our advisor portals enable pre-health advisors to access data from applicants who have authorized the release of their application information and admission status. Due to the AACOMAS platform transition in 2015, there are two options for retrieving application data. Please select the best option based on the cycle from which you are retrieving data.

Universal Advisor Portal (UAP)

The Universal Advisor Portal contains data from the 2015-2016 application cycles and later only.

Advisor Information Center (AIC)

The Advisor Information Center contains data from the 2014-2015 application cycles and earlier.

  • Log in to the Advisor Information Center
  • New advisor registration is no longer supported. Please contact another advisor at your institution who may have access to an active account. You may also reach out to Erik Guercio, AACOM Associate Director of Research, for historical applicant data at your institution.

Updates for Re-Applicants

Beginning May 4, applicants reapplying to the 2016-2017 AACOMAS application cycle can roll over some information from the 2015-2016 cycle without creating a new application. Here's how the process works:

  • Applicants can roll over limited data regardless of whether his/her application was submitted or verified during the previous cycle. Any applicant who started an application during the 2015-2016 cycle will be able to roll over limited data from his/her application.
  • Re-applicants will maintain the same AACOMAS ID# from the previous cycle.
  • Transcripts, official tests score, and other account information will carry over from the previous cycle.
  • Letters of reference, personal essays, program-specific information, payments, and other information that may change from one cycle to the next will NOT carry over and will need to be resubmitted.
  • Applicants may create a new application rather than rolling over their application from the previous cycle, if they so choose. They will, however, maintain their AACOMAS ID and login information.
  • Information from the 2014-2015 application cycle and earlier cannot be carried over in the 2016-2017 cycle.

Re-applicant accounts cannot be requested or created prior to the May 4 launch.

Application Fees

The fee for using AACOMAS is based on the number of colleges designated when applicants submit their application. Applicants may request that we send a completed application to more schools for an additional fee. Payment may be made by credit/debit card only. Application materials will not be processed until payment is received.
  • $195 - application fee that includes submission to one designated college
  • $40 - add for each additional designation
