This student organization represents Native American graduate health professions students throughout the US and Canada. ANAMS provides support and a resource network for all Native Americans currently enrolled in various allied health professions schools. ANAMS strives to increase the number of Native American students in medicine and other health professions.
The Latino Medical Student Association unites and empowers medical students through service, mentorship and education to advocate for the health of the Latino community. In addition to networking and education opportunities, it offers scholarships and has local chapters.
Student National Medical Association (SNMA) is committed to supporting current and future underrepresented minority medical students, addressing the needs of underserved communities, and increasing the number of clinically excellent, culturally competent and socially conscious physicians.
SNMA chapters based at allopathic and osteopathic medical schools throughout the nation, and some colleges, implement our programs and activities locally. The mission of these chapters, called Minority Association of Premedical Students (MAPS), is to “increase the number of African-American, Latino, and other students of color entering and completing medical school.”
