COSGP National Legislative Affairs Representative
Hello everyone! My name is Annie Phung, an OMS-III at PCOM-GA, and I am honored to be your 2019-2020 National Legislative Affairs Representative for COSGP. I grew up in Southern California and completed my Bachelor’s of Science degree at UC Irvine (Zot, Zot, Zot!). After college, I earned my Master’s degree at PCOM-GA where I was fortunate enough to continue my education as an Osteopathic Medical Student!
In medical school I discovered my passion for advocacy when I attended my first DO Day on Capitol Hill event organized by the AOA. I experienced the energy that osteopathic physicians and medical students had for policies that not only affect their future as physicians, but also their patients’ futures. This experience, along with various advocacy events and legislative engagements, have taught me that every voice matters.
As your Legislative Affairs Representative, I want to share this energy, excitement, and passion for health policy advocacy with you all. My goal is to educate and empower you to be the best advocate possible! Please feel free to reach out if you have suggestions/questions on advocacy, legislation, or ways to get involved.
I look forward to serving you this year!
