I'm Brian Liu, a current OMS-III at the Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine in New Mexico. I am super pumped at being your Programs Representative for this year! I was born and raised in Houston, TX, and got my Bachelor of Arts in Government at the University of Texas at Austin (Hook 'em!). I then completed a special master’s program at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, TX. I have always believed in serving a cause bigger than yourself. For nearly my entire adult life I was a firefighter, before getting involved with a non-governmental organization that does disaster response. As such, I am a strong proponent for the TOUCH program that COSGP spearheads and having medical students give back to their communities.
As the Programs Representative, I'm looking forward to showcasing the impact osteopathic medical students have had in their community by really breaking down the data gathered over the past year with the new TOUCH database and distributing this out. Additionally, by serving on the Student Services Committee, I'm looking forward to coming up with ideas and solutions that would enhance the medical school experience for all of us. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions!
