The ACGME has also developed a new section of its website dedicated to the pandemic crisis. The section includes guidance from the ACGME, along with resources, to learn more, visit www.acgme.org/covid-19

Single Residency Match Results

The National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) announced results of the 2020 match, the largest in history and marks the first "single match". The single match comes only months before the near completion of the implementation of the single graduate medical education accreditation system, which officially concludes on June 30, 2020. The match rate for osteopathic medical seniors is 90.7 percent, an increase of 2.6 percentage points, with 6,581 graduating osteopathic medical students participating in the match and 5,698 matched into first-year training positions (PGY-1).
