“Osteopathic medicine’s focus on patient health was such a natural fit for me philosophically that it hardly felt like I needed to make a ‘choice’ in my medical education at all. While medicine had been a distant dream of mine, my economics degree led to a varied career path that included time spent in financial services and as a boat captain. Volunteering with local hospitals and physicians re-ignited my interest in medicine, and a desire to treat a patient’s whole health further narrowed my focus to osteopathic medicine.

“At UNECOM, I have truly appreciated the unique sense of cooperation and camaraderie amongst students. This is directly related to the accessibility and quality of the faculty, and the consistently diverse, academically strong student population.  UNECOM is preparing me to be a tireless advocate for my patients and to assist them in achieving health in all aspects of their lives.”
