Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine – New York
Undergraduate Studies: BFA, Alfred University School of Art & Design
“Training as a DO allows you to become a physician in the most complete sense. My experience during my third-year rotations has reinforced this principle. It's allowed me to connect with my patients and easily provide hands-on treatment.
“TouroCOM is unlike any other medical school I know. It sits at the heart of Harlem, a place rich in culture and history. I'm able to participate in this community through school-sponsored service programs. The faculty and staff are like family, with an open-door policy. Additionally, being in New York City, I am in a major hub of medical knowledge.
“I'd like to make a difference as a DO by becoming a primary care physician. There are many challenges facing medicine, and while they sometimes seem insurmountable, DOs are best-suited to meet them. We emphasize the patient-centered approach and preventive medicine. Osteopathic medicine is forward thinking and is allowing me to contribute in a positive way.”
