“I chose osteopathic medicine because I felt it was only path to becoming a physician that made sense for me. Medicine should not be centered on treating a disease a patient has, but rather on taking care of a patient in their entirety. Osteopathic medicine provides an awesome skill set to treat patients in additional to traditional westernized medicine, and all it requires are the use of my hands and knowledge.

“I chose to attend VCOM-CC because it gave me the rare opportunity to become part of the inaugural class, and to become part of the VCOM family, which specializes in training students for a mission-focused medical career.  I have particularly enjoyed serving as our Student American Academy of Osteopathy (SAAO) chapter president, which gives me the great opportunity to educate others in my class and community about osteopathic medicine.”
