“While exploring through my college’s career center, I stumbled upon a brochure about osteopathic medical education. The focus on the body’s structure and how it affects a body’s function, and the emphasis on learning how to leverage the body’s innate ability to heal itself, drew me in. Being a nontraditional student, I was leery of re-entering the academic world. However, the faculty and staff at GA-PCOM put me at ease. With GA-PCOM being one of the newer schools at the time, I loved the school for its community feel, and I loved being an active member of a class that could make a few “first’s” at the campus. Now, I love watching GA-PCOM grow as I continue to grow as a medical student. I hope to continue to make the same positive impact on my future patients as an osteopathic physician.”
