Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine of Midwestern University
Undergraduate Studies: BS in Public Health and Molecular and Cell Biology (double major)
“For me, the most important tenet of osteopathic medicine is that the body is capable of healing itself, and it resonates with me that osteopathic manipulative medicine addresses and embraces this issue. I feel that empathy is essential to maximize patients’ success with their health-care goals, and that the doctor and patient must work as a team.
“Following my undergraduate studies, I found that AZCOM was a fantastic fit for me. AZCOM’s clinical and basic science courses not only integrate osteopathic manipulative medicine within their curricula, but the medical students take classes with students studying other health care disciplines, fostering an interdisciplinary exchange of perspectives.”
