“Like many others, I set off on the journey toward a profession in medicine early in life.  Then, fresh out of college, I faced life altering health-related challenges.  Deciding against deterring my dreams, I have taken a holistic approach to my health.  This focus on preventive care, and my education in the field of public health changed my views on medicine. I now desire a health profession that provides the most hands-on patient interaction, community/global outreach opportunities, and capabilities to provide services to the underserved.  With osteopathic medicine, I have found my niche. The missions of osteopathic medicine and of GA-PCOM, the hands-on experience that I have received since beginning medical school, and my family of GA-PCOM students, professors, and faculty, inspire me daily.  I love that being a DO will allow me to best achieve my goals while remaining true to my beliefs.”
