“I always recommend that every pre-medical student shadows a physician before they apply to medical school and, if possible, to shadow a DO. My experience in an osteopathic family medicine clinic led me to pursue a career path at the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine (AZCOM). The doctor spent time with his patients and was exceptionally skilled at diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal disorders, which were common in his practice. He found a unique balance between alternative treatments and traditional medicine.

“AZCOM’s rigorous curriculum gives you the tools needed to succeed academically.  However, one of the most outstanding aspects of this college is its support for extracurricular activities. The college encourages everyone to become involved in medicine on a local and national level, which makes for well-rounded physicians. I personally was able to travel to multiple conferences around the country, and even had the opportunity to attend a meeting with the Surgeon General.”
