“As a native Floridian and UCF graduate, I had aspirations to attend medical school in the community that I knew and loved.  Discovering osteopathic medicine and LECOM, I knew it was going to be a perfect fit from the start.  Throughout my academic years, I always tended to study in groups and learn actively.  With my first experience with PBL at LECOM, I knew that I had made the right choice.  Having recently started my first clinical rotations, I can’t imagine a better way to have trained to become a physician.  I’m very grateful for the education that LECOM-Bradenton has given me.  As for osteopathic medicine, it was an easy choice for me.  Our family physician was and is a practicing DO, and having experienced the way osteopathic physicians approached a patient and their care, I knew that was something that I wanted to be a part of.”
