“Osteopathic medicine is unique as it requires all practitioners to be exceptional in the understanding and application of medical science, but also requires the ability to uncover dysfunction that patients may not be able to vocalize through palpation.  My desire to not only treat my patients, but have the ability to uncover the source of their illness is why I chose to pursue a career in osteopathic medicine.

“The moment I stepped in the entrance to RVUCOM, I was greeted by a multitude of happy staff and faculty.  Every attempt was made to make me feel at home, although I was 1,000 miles from the place I was raised.  The smaller class size and intimate classroom setting quickly allowed for assimilation into the fast-paced and high-stress medical school environment that all students confront, and the location and access to world-class skiing doesn’t hurt!

“I would like to work as an osteopathic orthopedic surgeon and improve the quality of life for individuals with orthopedic issues that significantly hamper their ability to perform basic activities of daily living.  I feel our training as osteopathic physicians improves our ability to connect with patients and enables osteopathic physicians to offer an unmatched quality of health care.”
