“I chose osteopathic medicine because I am compelled to practice a more intimate side of health care that can get lost when you disconnect the body and treat only its parts.  The profession will allow me to use my hands and my mind in concert in order to treat each patient as a whole, unique individual.  I believe my undergraduate studies have provided a solid foundation for NSU-COM, a school that gives students limitless opportunities to be proactive in shaping medical education and policy.  Upon graduating, I would like to make a difference as a DO by using the influence of touch to humanize the healing process.  I hope to use this training to empower my patients as I strive to cultivate meaningful relationships with them.”
