Innovations in Community Care

Description:
Please join us for a series of brief Ted-style talks about topics in community medicine and how faculty and residents in a family medicine residency program provide innovative high quality care to underserved populations in their communities. Each talk will be limited to about 20 minutes followed by plenty of time for discussion, questions and answers.

All presentations will be held virtually via Zoom on Wednesdays at 5pm PST / 8pm EST per the following schedule

  • 9/15/2021 -  Low Barrier Care Model for People with Substance Use Disorders (Dr. Nathan Kittle and Dr. Cara Dalbey)
  • 9/22/2021 -  Medicine for the Incarcerated (Dr. Eleni O’Donovan and Dr. Khalid Ebrahim)
  • 9/29/2021 -  Medicine for the Unhoused (Dr. Andrew Will Dixon and Dr. Anam Whyne)
  • 10/6/2021 -  Osteopathic Practice in the FQHC Setting (Dr. Gayatri Menon)

Family Medicine Midwest Virtual Residency Fair

September 9-10, 2021
Representatives will have opportunities to speak with student attendees and accept meeting invites with interested students Exhibit booth fees are $400 which includes one free conference for a resident in their program; virtual booths allow reps to customize with their own materials (PDFs, photos, videos, links, etc.) Using the same virtual platform as the AAFP National Conference.  https://fmm.memberclicks.net/residency-fair  or  https://fmm.memberclicks.net/2021-residency-showcase

PM&R Scholars Virtual Residency Fair Podcasts

PM&R Scholars are focused on research and networking opportunities, collaboration, and mentorship in Physiatry (Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation). Platforms for virtual residency fairs are unique in that they discuss specific schools with PM&R residency programs on a podcast where many students or residents can listen in live or play it back in the future.
