AACOM Names New Vice President of Member and Student Relations

Ray-Perez-100pxwAACOM is pleased to announce Raymond (Ray) Perez as the Association’s Vice President of Member and Student Relations, effective April 3, 2017.

Perez comes to AACOM with over 30 years of experience in higher education and student financial services. In this newly-created role, Perez will head the development and execution of AACOM's marketing, communications, admissions processing, and conferencing functions.

In early 1985, Perez moved to the Washington, DC area where he joined Sallie Mae and spent nearly a decade involved with colleges and universities and government regulatory agencies. Since his time with Salllie Mae, Perez has served as Vice President of Marketing, Communications, and Operations, as well as Senior Management, for several firms of varying sizes providing systems and operations support services, including admissions processing, software, and financial services to the higher education community. In these roles, Perez worked closely with a broad range of colleges and universities, including a number of AACOM’s member schools.

As AACOM Vice President of Member and Student Relations, Perez will be responsible for implementing the Association's marketing and communications strategic plan, managing the operations and business objectives in conjunction with that plan, developing a strong, results-orientated team, and building strong relationships and a positive image with AACOM’s member schools, student population, and other relevant groups.
