Osteopathic Medical Educators and Students Blanket Capitol Hill during AACOM's COM Day

On March 8, AACOM held its annual 2017 COM Day on Capitol Hill where approximately 100 deans, educators, and student leaders convened in Washington, DC to advocate for key policies to protect the future physician workforce.

Over the course of the day, meetings were held with congressional representatives from 22 states and 40 districts, while community members not in DC made their voices heard on social media through AACOM’s Virtual Hill Day, driving strong engagement and building momentum for graduate student financial aid reform and support for medical residency training.
