Director, National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH)

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is conducting an extensive search for individuals to fill the position of Director, National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH). The appointed individual will have a unique opportunity in providing leadership and direction to the Institute in its efforts to advance the pace of complementary and integrative health interventions through rigorous scientific investigation. The NCCIH Director oversees the lead federal agency supporting research into complementary and integrative health, setting scientific priorities and interfacing with scientists, policy makers, and the public. The NCCIH Director advises the NIH Director and Institute and Center (IC) Directors on the development of NIH-wide policy issues related to complementary and integrative health and related research training. The Director also serves as principal liaison with other agencies of the DHHS and the Federal Government and is the lead representative of the Institute to professional societies and the advocacy community.

Chief Academic Affiliations Officer for the Veterans Health Administration

The Chief Academic Affiliations Officer (CAAO) oversees the largest health professions education program in the United States, including over 120,000 trainees annually in more than 40 different health professions. This office serves as a focal point in the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) for the development, analysis, and evaluation of policies, guidelines, and programs related to academic affiliations and the professional education of health professions trainees, including physician, nursing, and associated health disciplines.
