AACOM is pleased to announce the selection of three exceptional osteopathic medical students to participate in its 2019 Osteopathic Health Policy Intern (OHPI) Program:
- Nicole Lighthouse, OMS-IV, A.T. Still University of Health Sciences Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (ATSU-KCOM)
- Farrah Rink, OMS-IV, Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine-Georgia Campus (GA-PCOM)
- Mianna Armstrong, OMS-IV, Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences College of Osteopathic Medicine (KCU-COM)
The OHPI Program
enables osteopathic medical students to spend two months in Washington, DC, in AACOM’s Office of Government Relations on Capitol Hill. The objective of the program is to afford selected student interns the opportunity to develop an understanding and operational knowledge of how federal health and education policy is developed and how to effectively influence public policy.
