Medical Education & Training

As a new class of students progresses through the Transformative Care Continuum (TCC), an innovative family medicine education and training program, AACOM spoke with Dr. Leanne Chrisman-Khawam, assistant professor of social medicine at OU-HCOM and TCC director, about the program’s benefits not only to students, but to educators, patients, health professionals and communities.

Successful models for growing graduate medical education (GME) exist and follow similar patterns: engaging leadership, ensuring funding and meeting the needs of the population. Join AACOM and the AIAMC on January 18 for a half-day virtual conference that explores methods to succeed in expanding GME.

Awards & Leadership

Dr. Clearfield received the AACOM Board Chair Special Recognition Award, which acknowledges his incalculable impact on osteopathic medicine.

Institutional research is a broad category of work done at colleges (and across colleges within a profession) to inform decision-making and planning.
