Awards & Leadership

AACOM welcomes the Kansas Health Science Center - Kansas College of Osteopathic Medicine (KansasCOM) as its newest member college. KansasCOM is the first osteopathic medical school to open in Kansas and will begin recruiting students this spring for their inaugural class.

The Society of Osteopathic Medical Educators (SOME) offers two $1,000 awards annually for innovations in osteopathic medical education. Applications are welcome from any SOME member from across the osteopathic medical education continuum. The deadline to apply is February 14.

Virtual Conference

Successful models for growing graduate medical education (GME) exist and follow similar patterns: engaging leadership, ensuring funding and meeting the needs of the population. Join AACOM and the Alliance of Independent Academic Medical Centers (AIAMC) on January 18 for a half-day virtual conference that explores methods to succeed in expanding GME.
