Educating Leaders 2022

Every year AACOM recognizes influential and inspiring members of our osteopathic medical education community during Educating Leaders, our annual conference. Congratulations to these outstanding educators and leaders:

Diversity

AACOM’s 2022 Sherry R. Arnstein Underrepresented Minority Scholarship application cycle is now open. The scholarship is awarded to five underrepresented minority students attending any AACOM member college of osteopathic medicine. Both incoming and continuing students are eligible to apply. This year's scholarship amount will be $5,000 for each of the five selected students.

Osteopathic Medical Education

The National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners (NBOME)'s has released their 2021 Annual Report in an interactive video format. Watch it today! Brief videos cover key topics within NBOME, including a message from the board chair and president and CEO, and overviews of their strategic plan, research and advocacy and outreach.

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, medical students, residents and fellows have selflessly provided care for patients, oftentimes sacrificing elements of their own professional development, while deepening care to others. ACMGE has released toolkits to serve as resources to help support learners at three specific stages in their career—the transition to residency, fellowship and clinical practice.
